Ongoing Research

The more awareness and funds we raise, the more critical research can be conducted. In addition to the projects supported by Ladybug fundraising (see our Impact page), other groundbreaking research is underway. Below are two particularly exciting studies:

• MASS General CDH Study - Participant Opportunity!

  This genetic study aims to identify the genetic causes of CDH and explore how modifying the genetic code could help close the diaphragm, preventing organ herniation and supporting lung development.

• Long-term CDH patient follow-up

  This report summarized the outcomes of children born with CDH in the era of multidisciplinary care, ECMO, and other advancements, providing insight into long-term survival and quality of life.
